Mr. Forrest joined Jackson Cross Partners in January 2017, initially supporting clients with accounting and advisory services related to the implementation of the new FASB lease accounting standards. Since that time, he has played a central role in building and scaling the firm’s advisory practice into a mature, ongoing managed service offering.
As a Partner, Mr. Forrest leads the firm’s Advisory practice, overseeing go-to-market strategy, team leadership, and the growth and delivery of client managed service engagements. He advises Fortune 500 and middle-market organizations on complex lease accounting, data governance, and portfolio management challenges. As the market has evolved beyond initial adoption, he now focuses on helping clients operationalize lease accounting within their broader financial and real estate processes—driving long-term efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight.
Mr. Forrest has advised dozens of organizations, supporting portfolios ranging from approximately 30 leases to global footprints spanning more than 70 countries. He plays a direct role in originating new business and expanding key client relationships.
In addition to overseeing delivery, Mr. Forrest is actively involved in business development and marketing strategy, working closely with clients and prospects to identify opportunities, structure engagements, and bring complex advisory projects to market.
Prior to joining Jackson Cross Partners, Mr. Forrest was with EY, where he served on assurance teams across the manufacturing, technology, and real estate sectors. In this role, he focused on risk assessment, internal controls, and identifying areas of noncompliance—experience that continues to inform his advisory approach today.
Mr. Forrest earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University Fox School of Business. He remains active in the community and previously served as a Loaned Executive with United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. He resides in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with his wife and two daughters, and spends much of his free time in Ocean City, New Jersey.
