Geissele Automatics: Arranged $1.85M purchase of new facility

GEISSELE AUTOMATICS ACQUIRES A 70,000 SF MANUFACTURING FACILITY WITH ASSIST FROM JACKSON CROSS PARTNERS

King of Prussia, PA – March 1, 2013 – Commercial real estate services firm Jackson Cross Partners, LLC (JCP) has arranged a $1.85M purchase deal for Geissele Automatics of North Wales, PA. The acquired 70,000 SF property is located on 13 acres at 800 E Walnut Street in North Wales, and is set to become home to Geissele’s growing new office and manufacturing facility. Geissele Automatics currently operates its production facility out of Norristown, PA, a site which has housed the renowned defense contractor and rifle trigger manufacturing company for the past four years. “A year ago we made the choice to look for a new facility because we needed more space to create better efficiency in the delivery of our products,” stated Bill Geissele, founder and President. “The new facility will allow us the opportunity to grow and expand for many years to come.”

Nick Adams of Jackson Cross Partners represented Geissele in this purchase acquisition. Adams began working with Geissele on the project in the summer of 2012. Said Adams of the deal, “Bill’s requirements for JCP were very specific: he needed us to locate a facility which met his company’s requirements and was still large enough for future expansion as well – all within a short distance of the company’s existing facility in Norristown.” After a review of the current market and several site tours, the North Wales property became the preferred facility for Jackson Cross to focus efforts on.

The North Wales site was the former home of Fitzpatrick Container Corporation, which is a manufacturer of corrugated boxes. The company has since expanded and moved to a larger plant in Macungie, PA. Tom Bond of NAI Geis Realty Group Inc., represented the Seller, Montgomery Mills.
