For two decades prior to joining Jackson Cross Partners, Mr. Hesser was owner and President of The Hesser Group, a licensed commercial real estate brokerage firm committed exclusively to representing tenants and other end users of real estate. During this period, Mr. Hesser executed over 200 transactions in 30 markets across the United States. The Hesser Group, and specifically Mr. Hesser, became Broker of Record for Alco Realty, an in-house Alco Standard Corporation transaction unit formed to reduce liability in their portfolio of over 100 leased locations. Mr. Hesser guided the compliance and negotiation process that lead to over $2m in saving over a 2 year period.
Prior to creating The Hesser Group, Mr. Hesser was Vice President, Director of Leasing for Acorn Development Corporation, a regional office park developer that provided development, asset, and property management services for approximately 3.5 million square feet of high quality suburban Philadelphia office space. His responsibilities included ongoing management and oversight of the lease negotiation process that included existing tenant roster maintenance as well as identifying and securing tenants for new projects and or vacancies in existing portfolio, reviewing all lease proposals on behalf of the owner within a predetermined pro forma as well as acted as a liaison between brokers and ownership on deals outside of the pro forma.
Mr. Hesser spent three years at the Binswanger Company, a privately held international brokerage and advisory firm based in Philadelphia, PA. As a member of Binswanger’s Leasing & Management Group, Mr. Hesser was assigned to lease assets owned by Landlords where he coordinate marketing efforts, created proposal packages for prospective and existing clients, and collected and evaluated past and current economic, demographic, and commercial real estate data, focusing on information that most truly represented market conditions.
Mr. Hesser received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from The University of South Florida in 1976. Mr. Hesser is a Pennsylvania Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1977.
